We purchased a house in SE London (knowing it had subsidence) and our structural engineer specified a piled raft. Morcon provided a design and build solution (with a 10 year ASUC insurance guarantee). They completed the works on time and on budget and were very straightforward to deal with and responsive to any queries we had. I would highly recommend and a big thank you to Lee (the foreman) and his team on site, Jonathan (the structural engineer) and the MD, Darren.

Morcon have successfully built the foundations for our new house in Flood Zone 3 by the Thames. The house footprint was 185 square metres plus about 50 more for decking areas. This required driving 49 piles. They had to go in to a depth of around 8m and come out about 1.5m to achieve the desired height above ground. They then cast a 250 mm thick reinforced concrete slab on top of the piles. The builder and steel fabricator are very happy with the result - the flatness of the slab looks very good. The teams on site worked hard and Lee the foreman was clearly very competent and ready to explain what was going on.
The work was completed on budget (apart from a very small additional cost caused by the setting out by the builder) and within the stated timescale.

Morcon were recommended by our architect as they had done a good job for her elsewhere and I do not hesitate to recommend them as they clearly have plenty of experience with flood zone properties.
