We used MAAD recently to design a rear and side return extension, and loft conversion. We are thrilled with the service we received and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone. They were very experienced, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Our house is in an conservation area and Tom worked very closely with the local council to ensure we could still create the space we wanted, whilst making sure they were sympathetic to the character of the area. Where we had to tweak our plans to make sure they were in keeping with the conservation area, Tom was able to offer creative solutions to ensure we didn't have to compromise on any of the key things we wanted from the plan. We were pleasantly surprised that our plans were accepted on the first attempt as our council is notoriously strict, which is a testament to the quality of Tom's design! We had multiple opportunities to discuss the plans and explore various concept drawings to make sure we were 100% happy with the design. Tom and Elijah are so friendly and were extremely responsive (and patient!) with our many queries and questions, and communication was excellent throughout. They were able to explain the more complected processes to us so that we we felt involved in every step. They listened to exactly what we wanted, but also gave us plenty of ideas we hadn't considered to make the best use of the space. They have a very friendly local office in Broadstairs and we were always made to feel very welcome with a coffee and a hello from Tom's lovely dog.

Tom and his team were brought in after a recommendation from my Structural Engineers - they were brought on mid project due to some errors by previous architects. They picked up where the previous architects left off seamlessly. Always friendly, polite and incredibly efficient. I will certainly be returning for any future projects that I may need.

Tom worked with us on the extension in our detached house in South London. It was - in our opinion - not an easy design because we wanted to stay away from a standard "let's square it up and make a gigantic kitchen/diner/lounge space". Tom took the time to understand our needs - two small, active dogs who loved the garden and one 12-year old boy whose cricket / hockey equipment took up a lot of space. His design was ergonomic, very intuitive and took into account EVERYTHING on our Wishlist. We loved that he picked up the implicit asks and, of course, his first draft blew our collective minds. From the creation of an angular, large picture window to catch the setting sun to the use of irokko wood for extensive benching inside and outside - to the conversion of our old, smaller kitchen into a library / cloak+kit room ... it was all perfect. He patiently listened to our suggestions and evolved his design to get to what we wanted. Absolutely brilliant! (and we were lucky enough to have a builder who has been able to translate that vision into something even better than we imagined).

Tom is organised, punctual, helpful and fun to work with. It was the first time for us to undertake a large construction project on our house (loft conversion), and I can't image how we could have done without Tom. He is also very keen on eco-friendly style of architecture. He gave us a lot of interesting ideas of how we can manage the construction with sustainable and ecological resources within our badget. We would highly recommend him.

It's been absolutely brilliant working with Thomas - he was proactive in engaging with the local council to ensure that the proposed design was acceptable from a conservation perspective, and connected us to multiple parties who assisted with the process: Engineers, Building Reg firms and so on, all of whom assisted us with the greatest of professionalism and quality. All and all a fantastic experience - Thomas was always personable, always took on board our suggestions, and carried out research on materials and precedents, and was always very transparent about costs. Highly recommended if you are after high quality service.
