Don't waste your money - inspections carried out by Telepathy.
I asked this company to do the survey of the sub-floor void of my property, because of water ingress and condensation. I was very impressed with the the many 5 star reviews reporting of the time spent at the properties and the equipment used to reach a conclusion.
Adrian was at my property 25 minutes and used just a torch and he didn’t actually inspect the problem area. I really don’t mind paying anyone for their time but this equates to £240 per hour and the problem area was not even examined.
I am very aware of the many qualifications and vast experience, but sometimes things may not appear as they seem and only a detailed inspection would conclude this.
I received a very complete and comprehensive report but unfortunately I don't have any confidence in the document.
Perhaps he was having a bad day, unfortunate I had to pay for it?

I did at the time contact your company to raise the problems with your report and I have an email trail if you would like to be reminded of the conversation?
In my email to your company I explained the very detailed report could have been about any property as it was just general information. Your inspector refused to look under the floor void, so would not know for definite what was causing the problem.
We have since had a new roof put on our property and the roofing company advised us the flashing around the soil pipe was very poor and was very probably the cause of the water ingress. I'm sure if your very experienced inspector had actually looked under the floor he would have arrived at the same conclusion

Really disappointed with my ‘inspection’! I paid a lot of money for a damp report due to an issue with penetrating damp in a corner of my property. Before booking I spoke to someone on the phone as I wanted to check what type of checks they would do. I was reassured they could check the roofline with a drone camera and the various equipment they have for their survey. The person who did the survey was in my property 5 mins and the only equipment used was a camera from floor height. The person seemed very knowledgeable and gave me a couple of things that should help the damp in the main location but no investigation done as how this might be coming in to the property. No checks made at the roofline or chimney or for further damp inside the property. I sent an email detailing my concerns after I found further damp on a wall close to the initial issue. Their response was that they carried out detailed checks on the roofline, chimney and internal walls using moist profiling equipment and measurements of walls were taken. Unless all this can now be done by a camera, I don’t believe this happened, if it had they would have found the further damp on the next wall and their advice on what needs doing did not answer why the other wall was damp. I feel I have wasted my money as I am still concerned with how the rain is coming in to the property and no real survey was completed.

Very disappointed . Told my wife they couldn't get access to the property to do the survey after several attempts, so we thought they would just refund the money (£100)+vat . When we rung to tell them we had pulled out of the sale due to no access ,low and behold they attended the property the day Before ! But no survey was done !! .I suggest better communication with your "customers" when an appointment is made on their behalf. Complete Waste of £120 . The slant you put on things would equate to king Herod being a slightly rough child minder and the big bad wolf an over zealous building inspector.

Wish I had found this company 18 months ago. Adrian has a great depth of knowledge. I originally booked in for a damp survey but got chatting, much appreciated candid advice was given on a variety of unrelated issues, with genuine interest. Absolutely well worth the money.

Came out to my house on Saturday. Very professional and straight forward approach, took the time to inspect several areas of the house despite the initial contact being for a damp/condensation issue in one room.
Then discussed with me lots of options, including all the things I can do even before having to think about having any work done.
In terms of advice and guidance it was excellent and also very educational - Adrian took the time to explain in detail some of the common issues related to my problem.
What was also very refreshing was the absolute lack of any hard sell or “if this is not repaired by us” type approach which I had from other companies. Straight forward honest advice.
I leave very few comments/reviews on social media platforms however after reading the 1* review below I simply had to add my own opinion from the experience I had very recently (13.01.18).

We found Olympic Construction to be exemplary in their work standard and ethic whilst working on my Grandma's house. After finding damp stains in the wallpaper, we asked if they would take a look and give their recommendation. It was confirmed as damp, and at a time convenient to my Grandma, everything was taken care of. The one thing my Grandma was pleased about was how she was treated through out the process. She commented that it was the little things for her, such as the work men even offering to make her a brew! For an 87 year old, that means a lot. We are not well versed with any of the technicalities of the different types of damp, but everything was well explained, and when the work was complete we felt everything had been done to a very high standard. Highly recommend!
