We couldn’t be happier with the incredible work Ollie and his team did on our single-storey extension, which has completely transformed the downstairs of our home. From start to finish, they were nothing short of exceptional. Staying on budget, finishing ahead of schedule, impeccable attention to detail and maintaining outstanding communication throughout the project.
Not only did they keep us well-informed at every stage, but they also coordinated seamlessly with third-party contractors like Audus Kitchens and the Local Authority, ensuring everything ran smoothly.
The onsite team even made sure our cat had a safe method of entry/exit to/from the house every single day when they left, checking first thing in the morning with us as to whether the cat had been ok with the make shift cat flap created!
A year on, we’re still just as impressed. Ollie’s post-completion support has been fantastic, from helping us obtain final paperwork and certifications to addressing minor snags, without any additional charge. It’s rare to find a company so dedicated to customer satisfaction even after the job is complete.

We were looking to extended the kitchen, incorporating the space where our old fashion conservatory was.
Ollie was able to put me in touch with a gentleman with years of experience who drew up plans for a flat roof modern Orangery/Garden room.
OB builders spent the time going through exactly what I wanted and the quote was using the best materials for all elements of the build. The quote itself was competitive and the quality of the workmanship, second to none!

Ollie and his team have worked on two projects for us. Insulating and updating a dormer roof and replacing an old patio. On both occasions they have done a great job - the work has been done to a high standard and looks great. Ollie gave great advice on materials and design. The team were excellent to work with - kept the area tidy and disruption to a minimum. I would absolutely recommend.

Absolute dream team. We had our extension built this autumn and From our initial meeting, through to changes we wanted to make and help we needed with ideas- Ollie listened to us and supported us every step. Brilliant communication and organisation. For a family with two toddlers we had minimal daily disruption and the guys were all amazingly efficient and friendly. Olly and the team carried out a loft conversion for me a few weeks ago. From the initial consultation to the structural drawing and planning permission. I would highly recommend Ollie and O M Barker Builders for any building works. We hired them for a 2 story side extension which was estimated to take 16 weeks. There were a few stand out things we wanted to mention:
Ollie is a problem solver and not a problem maker, he worked with us to help create our vision even when it was tricky, where other builders tried to avoid the issues.
The quoting was well talked through, there were price increases due to material price hikes and supply chain but Ollie came to see us to go through and explain.
The build quality was superb, Ollie and his team are all great tradesmen and are highly skilled at what they do. From the ground works, walls and roof construction to the final fittings, we are delighted with the finished result from their hard work.
They were tidy and cleared up daily to keep our property tidy. We also had very tricky neighbours which the team navigated extremely well avoiding long disputes and delays.
All the team were prompt, turning up on time every day and were devoted to our project. They weren’t off on other jobs during our build or just not turning up like other contractors we’ve heard about. This meant the project met the proposed timeline and did not over run.
Ollie was always on the other end of the phone, or on-site himself for any questions or help we needed.
Finally something you may not consider during a build, but you will have a lot of tradespeople on site for the duration and Ollie’s team are a great bunch of people. Really pleasant to have around and really considerate to our young family and working environment.
