Found O’ Neill Engineering Consultancy Limited online and looked at the reviews. Well they were definitely true. Jake’s was amazing from start to finish. He goes above and beyond and also helped me solve other non building work issues in my house. I would definitely recommend using the company and asking for him for all structural work.

Can’t forget Danielle who is amazing, she made the process so easy and her communication great. Nothing was ever to much trouble for her. She’s an asset to the company.

O'Neill Engineering were commissioned to inspect & advise on new plans for reinforcing the older (inadequate) works that were installed when our chimney breast was removed at our property 20 years ago. Everything moved along quickly and we received our plan as discussed, at a sensible, agreeable cost. Jake was definitely the lighthouse in rough seas for our extension project when it came to pulling up the builder on his shoddy work! We somehow took on a builder who was recommended but turned out to be a nightmare! Jake was extremely professional in every sense of the word and he’s just so down to earth and friendly. His technical drawings of the beams required to hold up the back of the house were brilliant and clear to follow. Despite this, the builder and his team miscalculated the installation and tried rectifying in their own ‘creative’ way. Jake had to make multiple extra visits to assess the situation and come up with additional amendments to fix the issues created by the incompetent builder.
It was a long and difficult journey and in the end we got a safe and lovely extension. I want to thank Jake and his team, including Danielle who was always so helpful and polite at the end of the phone. I wouldn’t hesitate to use the professional services of this company as you will not be disappointed. I have gone on to recommend Jake to my family who are now embarking on their own projects and I feel secure knowing they are in safe hands. Well done Jake and thank you once again.

I can't recommend Jake and team highly enough - they're exactly what you want from a structural engineer: practical, resourceful and incredibly knowledgable. As with all builds, everything is possible, but frequently at a cost, and Jake's approach enabled us to get the end result we wanted, but with acceptable compromises (based on our budget).
