From my very first point of contact with Faye to dealing with Peter Barnett, I cannot fault the service. Peter explained everything to me in clear and simple terms that I could understand and I felt very confident in relying on his advice. He was lovely to deal with and very professional.

Dealt with some years ago, but noted same issues of unexpected charges on initial consultation when none agreed or stated. This is not a reflection of standard of services given as I did not proceed another further as a result. Transparency required at all times would help on both sides of course, I.e. inform the customer that an hourly rate applies immediately upon the first visit and what that rate is exactly.

Avoid, I telephoned this company in order to ask what services it could provide in relation to my house renovation, Peter said it was best if he met me on site for a look at the project, at no point during this telephone call was i informed I was being charged £110 plus vat per hour. I received no advice at all on the day, Peter was nice enough but was an hour late and we spent more time discussing the fact he owned his offices freehold. To this date I have received no information yet I have been sent an invoice for over £400. I feel I should have been informed at the outset that I was to incur these charges and I cannot understand why it was not mentioned when I initially made contact. The only mention of it was an email less than 24 hours prior to the meeting, I do not check my email every day and only became aware of this after the meeting had taken place.

£142 + VAT for a “CONSULTATION” which involved Peter Barnett standing on a ladder which I provided, putting his head up in the loft and asking about which football team I support. I wish I knew what to expect before, £142 is a very unreasonable amount to be charging for a consultation which basically involves nothing.

Peter was recommended by the estate agent we were purchasing from and we needed to confirm if an extension was safe due to having no building regulations consent.
Peter had a discussion with the agent and ourselves to establish needs and groundwork. The quote was reasonable and he explained how the survey would be done.

Once completed Peter called to advise his findings and written a thorough report which included photographs and recommendations.

I would certainly use Peter Barnett again in the future or recommend to friends and family in need of his services.
