Read the positive reviews whilst looking for a reliable builder to work to a high standard in some repairs to my father's house who had just passed away. However, after an initial good start with what seemed like a really friendly builder, unfortunately turned out to be someone who frequently didn't turn up when supposed to and a 3 day job turned into 3 weeks.

Didn't lay the tiles straight in a square room, so they lean one way.

Put floorboards in that didn't actually reach the wall, leaving a draft so I will have to replace

Damaged worktops and cupboard, kitchen now needs re-sealing as they walked all over the worktops to do the kitchen ceiling breaking the worktop seals and didn't address

Left the kitchen sink full of debris so the U bend will most likely need to be removed and emptied

Left excess cement overflowing from the tile grout gap, I told him he'd left cement oozing out of the tile gap and he told me it's not a problem and now, on those areas you can see that the grout isn't thick enough and is a different colour. Some of the grout is also flaking away leaving corners of the tile exposed which will only get worse over time.

Ripped out the curtain pole and rawl plugs out of the wall instead of just unscrewing it.

Took off the bathroom door to do some work and never put it back on.

Remarked that the house "stinks of piss" after knowing full well my dad had just died in there.

Left the building with the key in the front door.

Brushed an angle grinder across the surface of an expensive floor tile rendering it unusable

then not only refused to reimburse me for the tile, actually had the audacity to blame me for not buying more tiles, saying that if anything, I should pay hum because he got his wife to go and collect the tile even though I told him I would go and get it myself when it arrived.
Then when the matter of who should pay for the damage was raised, he changed his attitude and kicked off with unprofessional behaviour like saying "call the tile shop and ask them who they think should have to pay for this", which I did just to prove a point and even after getting a second opinion within the tile shop. They came back and said that damage resulting from the carelessness of the installer is not the customers fault and normally the builder would knock it off the invoice.
But instead he decided to argue about it and shift the blame onto me.

I will add that I'm happy with the kitchen ceiling and lights but ultimately I will not be using them again.

You should probably know that after posting this review he text me and said "you'd better take that review off"

*Update* We found a further issue recently which I wasn't going to add to this review as we already have enough going on, not that this company seem to care, but seeing as they want to leave silly comments threatening legal action against our TRUE and HONEST opinion then here we go. We had wet circles appearing on our new ceiling for a good few weeks that wouldn't dry so we decided to take up a floor board upstairs to have a look what's going on and it seems they've left wet, water logged rotten wood debris from the old floor board they took away from the bathroom, instead of throwing it all away it looks like they just brushed it to the side out of the way under a floorboard which has soaked through to our new kitchen ceiling plasterboard that they'd just installed so that's nice! We've removed this ourselves now and the wet patches have finally gone. Also, all the grout in the bathroom has gone crumbly so, yay.

These guys went above and beyond any other building service I have experienced. They managed everything themselves from design consultations, load calculations (no need to civil engineer), local authority planning applications, all trades and services and even created a kitchen on the patio in a gazebo while they were building our new kitchen. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Not used Palcan before.
Renovation of utility room, from groundwork,plumbing,electrics,new w.c, lighting, etc, project management.
Rami/claire at palcan gave excellent communication throughout.
Very good quality work throughout. All contractors were polite. We were also happy with the cost of works.
Would recommend Palcan construction.

We’re really pleased we chose Palcan Construction to complete various jobs on our home including a single storey extension, drain redirection, removal of chimney breast, layout reconfiguration, full rewire, plastering and kitchen fitting. Rami and his team are very professional, they always turned up on time and did a full days work. The quality of the work of excellent and nothing was ever to much trouble. Absolutely thrilled with our garage conversion project which has created a large kitchen, downstairs W/C, utility space and snug/4th bedroom. Rami is such a lovely guy, extremely conscientious and he project managed the process from start to finish, keeping in constant communication with us throughout the entire project. During our build there were some additional touches that we chose to make and Rami was always accommodating and willing to suggest options for our consideration and provided additional drawings to help us visualise some of the options for the key decisions we needed to make. The whole team were great, professional, respectful and all worked well together, something that is very important when it’s a large project and all well coordinated by Rami.

We recently had a small extension built on the side of our property for a toilet/utility. The work was done by Palcan Home Ltd. The builders did a fantastic job, they pay meticulous attention to detail from start to finish. All the work went according to plan, and was well within the specified time limit. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
