Where to start with Petworth Builders? I don't normally write negative reviews unless absolutely necessary but I feel this time it was. I'd arranged for Petworth Builders to replace some tiles with composite cladding on my extension. First attempt Andrew cancelled due to bad weather (can't be helped), rescheduled for next day. That day, there’s no contact from Andrew. Four days later he messages to say he had a family emergency (this happens, I get it). We reschedule for a few weeks later, but are delayed again by a further few days as Andrew says “Mind if I start this Monday and 100% won’t let you down". Each time I'm having to organise to work from home during this. We get to the new date and Andrew does turn up! He has a look around and drives off messaging "Just collecting kango from around the corner". After a few hours I realise he’s not coming back. Days later he finally gets in touch to say his work schedule was overwhelmed and we agree to a new “firm” date in a few months time. Days before work is due to start, I contact Andrew to ask if we’re still on track. He has yet to reply.

The reasons for the original delays were understandable, although communication throughout has been really poor. It has now been five months since the work was due to start and I’m left trying to find a new contractor.

We are so happy to have found Petworth Builders who themselves were recommended to us. In addition to the bathrooms, which weren't straight forward and involved the need to straighten walls, block up doorways, remove walls and install a bespoke shower screen, they helped us on various other jobs including replacing damaged floorboards and pipework. They are friendly and accommodating – always willing to find a solution to any issues that cropped up. They are also very neat and left everything clean and tidy at the end of each working day. We cannot recommend Andy and Glenn highly enough!

Have used Petworth Builders twice before for roof repairs (the first time was to rectify shoddy work done by previous builder). When the time came to replace the roof completely we had no hesitation in turning to them. The job was completed a few months ago and we have now have peace of mind for the winter ahead with a windproof and watertight roof. Andrew and team are hardworking, reliable and take pride in their work. Good at communicating. Would highly recommend.

This Company Temporarily fixed a leak on a flying freehold over our property. The work had nothing to do with us however the professional service and speed on getting out to us before the storm was Exceptional.

Mike & Glen did a fantastic job repairing and redecorating to windows & porch on the front of our Grade II listed house in Petworth. They were extremely polite and helpful, plus they were tidy and cleared up at the end of each day. Andy kept us well informed throughout the job which was completed quickly (also thanks to the fair weather for that!) and on budget. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Petworth Builders.

Excellent service at a reasonable price. Andy and Glen were reliable, respectful and honest and kept us informed about progress all the way through the job. The finish is great and the house looks amazing. All work was finished on time and the site left clean and tidy. We have already asked them to quote for more work.
