BEWARE OF ADRIAN CLARKE!...
His workforce comprises of a one man band plasterer / floor layer and self proclaimed carpenter,... NONE of which he has mastered!...this man put new plaster boards up in my lounge and main bedroom and managed to miss screws in numerous places in the middle and along the edges of the boards! I personally put in over 100 more screws in the dark with a torch before he plastered, which I knew was the next day,... I was hoping it was just an over site,.. BUT in reality I should have seen that the best was yet to come!... He plastered the lounge ceiling which resulted with a nice rise and fall (NOT) which presented itself along and above the main window in my lounge which looked even worse when the coveing was put up!... HE then turned his hand to replacing the the main bedroom floor which was above,..He took up the old floor boards,.. Then in his wisdom! He thought it would be a good idea to tight rope walk across the joists to the bedroom window and back to the other side of the room in order to receive the 4mtr length floor boards that were to replace the old ones,.... YES,..you guessed right,..HE FELL THROUGH THE NEWLY PLASTERED LOUNGE CEILING!... as if things were not bad enough already he left me with an unsightly 4ft square patch in the middle off my already bodged up lounge ceiling!!!... He then,.. being the fully qualified master of all trades that he is,...thought he would have a go at replacing the new Skirting and Architrave in both the main bedroom and my lounge,... Firstly I should just point out that again,..in his infinite wisdom he decided to replace the original skirting with one that was 2 ins taller!...He thought that for sure I`d be happy with the notched out castle effect that he had done to get around the pipe clips that secure my radiator to the wall,..AND the 2in deep cuts that he made to get around my plug sockets,.. AND the lack of mitre joints in the corners!... AND,..(there cant be more I here you cry!)... He thought it appropriate to put in 5 joints in one 14ft length of Skirting,.. 3 of which were about 10ins long each underneath 4ft radiator!...there were foot long bits of skirting on nearly every wall regardless of length,... it was like he was on a mission to use of cuts on every wall!... Then we get to the Architrave,...AGAIN,...all around the 5 doors that he touched,.. the headers were all twice the height/gap compared to the sides which again the gaps never matched from side to side!.. MARVELOUS,...I seriously think my 13yr old grandson could of done it better!
NOW THE PAINTER!... Another pearl of wisdom!...
HE was tasked with painting my hallway from top to bottom,...and I turned up to collect the mail,...was happily stood halfway down my stairs painting all the dust and rubbish from the un swept stairs ( it was plaster dust etc from the plastered wall up the staircase!) into the treads!... it then came to light that he had painted one of the bedroom doors which was now stuck to the frame,... when asked why? he said the door was locked,...WELL DON`T PAINT IT THEN!...ASK FOR THE KEY!!...
Believe it or not this is only a small part of what has been going on since the 7th FEB,...The whole job was to take 6 weeks,.. Its now the 7th APRIL!....There hasn't been anyone back to correct the shoddy workmanship for the last 6 weeks!.. Mr Adrian Clarke has since shown his true character,.. as when I voiced that this was unacceptable he put the phone down!.. And he has since crept around and put my spare key he was using, through my letterbox!.. He is a joke!...
BE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK if you want to let him and his merry band of bodgers round to do any work!... they should be named
BODGE IT AND LEG IT!
It would be a lot more apt!!!
