Sad to hear that Steve and Piston Broke are no more. RIP another old-schooler.

Shame he had no heir/apprentice, so for now we are in the weird position of Bristol without a machine shop!

I took in a caliper with a seized pad retaining pin which I had absolutely destroyed trying to get out myself. Steve was friendly and honest and managed to get the pin out, for less than he had quoted and on the next working day. He was also happy to have a chat and gave me some advice to stop it seizing again. I would definitely recommend him!

Experience can't be beaten the man has been there and fixed that.
Another engine will live again thanks to the expertise of Steve.
Solution at affordable prices. Cranks, rebores, piston, cylinder sleeving, valves and machine work.
Just ask if he can he will.

I snapped a bolt holding my themrostat on my e36 323i and so I couldn't use the car without it overheating. I managed to get my car here with a few stops, left it with him overnight, the next afternoon I collected my car and the snapped bolt was out and it had a brand new thread where the hole was, looked better than new. He also helped me to put the thermostat back in and to get the car driving as it should be. Price was very good too.
