We hired Phil for the first time back in 2023 for groundworks prior to building our extension. Phil was punctual, knowledgeable and had an unmatched dedication for getting the job done regardless of the unexpected obstacles that arose. Further to the groundworks, he assisted us with drainage works and cutting a new doorway into our existing building.

Phil is calm under pressure and has a soothing demeanour, assuring us that any difficulties can be overcome, which was extremely comforting. He happily made himself available for consultations and we hired him again in 2024 for the removal of a well-established hedge. Despite his digger breaking down he still managed to complete the works on time and to a superb standard.

Phil and his company (P J Dyke) come highly recommended. This comes from someone who has exceptionally high quality standards and seldom offer recommendations of any kind. This alone should speak volumes to anyone thinking of hiring him.

We have just had an area paved of about 80 sq Metres by Phil Dyke and his team and are absolutely delighted. He paved an area for us some 25 years ago in front of our garage which is still completely sound, which prompted us to contact him again for this larger area.
All throughout the week, the whole operation was fascinating to watch, with all the equipment and materials arriving to schedule. All of his team were more than helpful and checked with us on a regular that the layout was what we wanted.
The site was left each day in a really tidy condition and upon completion.
I have no hesitation in giving the highest recommendation for Phil Dyke and his team in carrying out work of this nature.
