I have found this course very helpful for understanding the basic structure of PMI course works for both CAPM exam as well as PMP exam. The way the course was administered really worked for me, very practical, interactive and flexible. The tutors were very responsive and knowledgeable. They present a very comprehensive exploration of both theory and market practice. I really appreciate all of them and PMI support team for their outstanding support throughout the course work.

CAPM course:

Pros: Online class, instructors are passionate, you get the Rita CAPM Book, 3 month exam simulation.

Cons: if you have 0 experience in project management this is not for you. This is a very fast paced and timed course. Instructors are good, some read out of the book or provide a summary. Communication by The chapter is poor. They provide an email stating welcome and when the class will start but not how or what will be used to log in etc. Some people did not even get their book 2 days in.

For this course you are basically paying 600 bucks to get a summary of the book and get the hours needed for the exam. But as mentioned if you have 0 experience in this field this course is not for you. Note that there are other resources you can take and so for a fraction of the cost. Which I later learned by doing more research.

CUSTOMER BEWARE : This organization is a joke. How can you preach agile when you dont reply your emails and it takes weeks and multiple follow up emails to get a generic response?
I tried to join their mentorship/career accelerator program but didnt hear anything back for weeks and now i missed the program and have to wait another 6 months to join? What’s the point of being a member then if you cant access this type of services?

DONT waste your money with this chapter because the customer service is horrendously terrible and doesnt make you feel welcomed at all.

This organization is supposed to represent the standard to follow for Project managers however if i follow their standards toward members , it is actually a spam.

When i took the 650$ exam : crashed once , french translation is a real joke. Overall technical quality : 5/10 , translation : 2/10

When i asked for some customer service : their policy to answer back is 3 to 5 open days. I am now at 16 without any follow up from PMI.

Their service is a real joke. That organization is a real joke.

Only webinars are worthy.

I came across the CAPM Prep Course with PMI Toronto chapter through internet and I had no prior involvement with the chapter. I took the course back in May/June which covered 3 weekends of virtual instructor led sessions, invaluable material mailed to you, access to online practices tests and 24 certified project management education hours. Prior to preparing for this exam, I had minimal project management experience, so attending the prep sessions helped especially when the instructors provided examples that related to their experience or gave analogies.

Unlike purchasing pre-recorded online courses, this course helps you to commit to studying all knowledge areas through the virtual classroom setting.

The CAPM Prep Course through PMI Toronto Chapter definitely did play a key role in me passing above target in all areas. Highly recommend!

I recently completed the PMI Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) certification exam preparation 2 day course.

I highly recommend this course run by the PMI Toronto chapter. The course instructor, Kiron D. Bondale, did an amazing job with his clear delivery of the course materials, while being pragmatic, and providing a depth of details drawing on his wide practical experience.

Thanks Kiron!

I am looking forward to taking the certification exam and earning this valued PMI designation in the next few weeks.
