Cannot comment on work done by this company, only the rudeness if it's staff. I stopped in heavy traffic to do the nice thing of letting another vehicle out if a side road. The company van behind me decided he was going to blast his horn at me multiple times. If this was designed to intimidate me you need to try harder 🤣.

I put in for a dropped kerb, but the council's prices were extortionate so I started looking around for council approved contractors as contractors need to be approved by the council in Birmingham. I was contacted by someone called J***n F***h (not sure if should name him outright) who was very pleasant to talk to and who quoted me a better price for the job. I asked if I would be charged for anything extra, and I was told no (have proof of this in my messages).

Several messages backwards and forwards later, a date was agreed (3rd June 2024) and I asked for a performa invoice and made the payment as agreed (50% at start and 50% on completion). I paid the deposit on 2nd June in preparation for work to start on the 3rd, but was told on the 3rd that the job would now start on the 4th due to being double booked by the council - ok, no problem as these things happen I thought (but it should have been a sign).

Job was started and finished on the 4th (I'll give the job 7/10 partially because it is a mismatch with the neighbour's and a bit lumpy) and I was told by a person on the job that the rubble etc. left behind would be collected on the 6th - this did not happen. I contacted both people on the 7th and had no reply from the worker, but my original contact said I was responsible for having the rubble removed at my own expense as he hadn't quoted me for this because he "presumed" I would have ordered a skip. By the same token, I assumed I would have been told if that was to be the case as this is something they do day in and day out - the person refused to help saying there is nothing he can do about it. This is now leaving me out of pocket to the tune of £270 as I have to get a grab hire to clear the mess left behind. Not happy about this. The invoice given to me was also bogus. The number my contact called/ texted me from is listed as a number for South West Works, but the person claimed the job would be done by RW Services and the invoice was from Drop Kerb Solutions.

This was a nightmare from the beginning. The quote was for a sewer pipe from the road to the house. When they arrived they claimed it would be only from the road to the end of the drive. I had to pay another 2,500 Pounds to pay for the rest. I was clearly being mislead as they specifically said it would be from the road to the house. Then they covered the manhole with a flimsy plastic disc and I nearly damaged my car since it would not carry the weight of a car (they knew the drive was meant for cars). I had to pay another 360 pounds to have the manhole cover repaired with a metal cover. It also took 3 phone calls for them to collect the barrier.
