We were so pleased with Red Kite throughout the whole process of our attic conversion. They were very professional and supportive with both the design and building process. They were a pleasure to have working in our house and very considerate of us living there at the same time. All the builders and other contractors they brought in were efficient and polite. The design of our attic works perfectly and we’re so happy with the beautiful end result, particularly all the detailed carpentry work and the light and airy feel to the space. We would highly recommend them.

We didn't know how to find a building company that understood our need for sustainable, breathable and effective insulation for our older terraced house. Red Kite was recommended to us, and we couldn't have been happier. Nico, Pavel, et al just get it and did a high-quality job of insulating above and below our house, fitting a new loft hatch and replastering a ceiling. The cost was fair despite the commitment to 'green' materials and their obvious attention to detail, and they were also just good people to have in the house. Our job was small compared to many of their projects, but we didn't feel it was any less valued. No hesitation in recommending them.

I instructed Red Kite Design and Build for a retrofit project on a Victorian terraced property in Bristol, having been put in touch with them by Futureproof. It was a big project involving internal and external wall insulation, loft insulation (one section with no loft access), floor insulation and ventilation. When I met Nico I saw he was clearly passionate about sustainability, he listened to my needs and provided some great ideas that I would not have thought of myself. He was professional throughout the project and kept me updated on progress. He was completely transparent about costs and tried to retain existing materials where possible. I was really pleased with the work that he and his team completed and would certainly recommend to others.

Red Kite design and built an innovative development onto an existing barn conversion. This involved a straw bale wing, with a beautiful earthen floor. Another part of the development where space was more constricted was of a timber frame construction with a green oak exposed roof structure. Insulated with natural materials throughout the breathable space works wonderfully. Green roofs covered part of the structure and hum with life in summer. Red Kite utilised a variety of skill on the project to good a finish. They were reliable and congenial to work with.
