Not a great experience at the Gloucester site, host was very dismissive and did not take the time to talk through the options available to us. Did not discuss the option to buy our property, did not ask any real questions about our circumstances and when we asked about the mix of social and affordable housing on the site she became very defensive and rude. Such a shame as the properties were stunning but the experience was not. Did not even give us a brochure regarding the site so overall a poor impression of Redrow. If she had taken the time to invest in us the review and outcome would have been a lot different.

The Redrow/Glevum development sales team in Gloucester are excellent. Tori and Sarah - Jane have both provided us with first - class service throughout the buying process, and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to any potential house - buyer.

I visited the glevum green development yesterday. I have always seen Redrow homes as a prestige builder in the many years I have owned a house. However I was disappointed in the quality of the products used in the show homes. I had my son with me as he and my daughter will be living with me too once we move. My son got into the shower and tried to shut the bi folding door, I thought being a redrow home it would shut with ease however it sprung back open and made us both jump. The radiators that are fitted are of mediocre quality with plastic plumbing products, again not what I would expect from Redrow. We struggled to understand why there were so many cupboards and why the space wasn’t utilised in other ways, ie extra space in the bedrooms. The kitchen was lovely and sold the house to me. The Oxford lifestyle was a lovely property and reminded me of a previous property I owned but on a much smaller basis which is exactly what I am looking for. I feel that the 3 bed property is overpriced and I would have happily placed an order yesterday had the price been around £375k and not the £415k Redrow are asking. The Welwyn show house was lovely downstairs but the upstairs was very poorly designed and felt claustrophobic. I certainly wouldn’t pay the price Redrow are asking for this property because of that reason. In this property I could feel cold air coming from the internal door from the garage into the hallway of the property. Also in the utility I could see daylight by the handle of the back door and again feel cold air coming through the gap. Again I feel Redrow have lost their quality in their builds which is a shame as I have always seen Redrow as one of the prestige builders in the new build market. The sales lady was very nice but again I feel the personal touch has been lost as everything is now on line.

We visited this location as we wanted to view the Oxford Style 3 Bed show house, as the Great site did not have this style of house that interests us. Lucille the sales lady on duty was very polite courteous & professional on all aspects of this development. She was very happy for us to look around the show house even though we were not purchasing anything at this location as Great Oldbury site is where our interests lie. They had good covid19 protocols in place & was good to see. Would recommend a visit here as everything was done in a professional safe manner.

We booked an appointment with Redrow to sit down and have a discussion about what options we might have with buying a property on a new development. There was no indication the sales consultant knew we were coming, and promptly told us nothing would be available for 12 months anyway. We were sent off, alone, to have a look around the house (which was really nice in truth) and returned to the Sales office.

From there we were told that properties would be “released” to reserve from July/August and we needed to have SOLD our property at that point - the new house would then not be available until March 2023. This essentially means that we’d have to be homeless for the period of August-March and the suggestions we were given were to “live with family” or “rent”. Zero consideration for the customer at this point and little concern for the disruption that might cause to a family’s life. Seemed like the only concern was Redrow securing their sale.

Needless to say we were incredibly disappointed and were willing to pay deposits or whatever was needed to secure the new home - but the unrest that would be caused by this horrendous buying process put us right off. Such a shame.

I visited the site and I was badly surprised and a bit dissapointed as they are offering just basic stuff as standard options. The garden doors and the fences are cheap wood and seems to be poor quality made, I found a garden door which was not closing and was kept slamming in the wind. The they offer a small paved patio and there is no external water tap as standard, there are no tiles in the kitchen or corridor as standard neither, the worktops are not made from granite as in the showrooms etc....So for some quality options you need to pay mayby an additionaly 20+K . It is a shame and I was expected from a premium developer to offer premium options as standard. I can not see what is the point to show off with the showhomes if you are not offering those options as standard...but as extras.

A thriving development which will be a jewel in the Gloucester property market and portfolio for years to come!

Tori in the Sales Office also deserves special praise for her service which is friendly and reliable; she is an asset to Redrow Homes.

After visiting a number of new housing developments in Gloucester we found that Redrows show home staff was excellent compared to the others. It's the little things that make the difference.
