We are very glad that we picked Richard Andrews Architects (RAA) to design and contract manage our full house renovation. We were very particular about our choice as we were living a long distance away from the site and would need to rely a great deal on the architect and the contractor we chose. As soon as Antonella arrived on site to assess the project it was clear that RAA would be a good choice. Whilst not the biggest project in terms of structural alterations she made very sensible suggestions in line with our overall aims and budget. Antonella quickly produced the drawings required and patiently altered those as we finalised our requirements. She then handled the tender process for us and together we chose the right contractor to do the work. For peace of mind we asked Antonella to handle setting up the contract, including the schedule and payment authorisations alongside quality assuring the contractors work as it progressed. This all came to a successful conclusion and we are very pleased with the end result, which is in line with our hopes and expected spend. We feel we got a very good service from RAA. Antonella is a credit to the company. Very clear and easy to communicate with. She is enthusiastic and full of ideas, but she listened carefully to our aims to ensure we got what we wanted. She was firm but fair and very professional with the contractors, checking their work against plans very diligently and ensuring that the contracted requirements were met. A potentially stressful process made a lot easier by her consistently useful contributions. Thank you to everyone at RAA!

Designed and converted our stables into a one bedroom annex with home office, and did an outstanding job. Richard himself oversaw the project and kept in regular contact with me, updating me throughout.
Honest and transparent from day one with regards to project costs and potential issues.
We now have a beautiful annex for guests to stay in, and a state of the art office with views for me to work from.

Have caused me enormous stress over several years (from 2015).

Failed to locate public sewers at outset. Had to have my own sewer survey done. Then had to negotiate with Welsh Water for Building Over agreement which required changes to the original plans. That took another year.

Employed incompetent builders who took a year to build an extension and left many faults behind. Even now there are faults needing rectification (Feb 2020).

I have given up dealing with this company.

2 hours before the appointment I get a Bail Out phone call apparently it was too small of a Job for them. So if you want to use this firm make sure your job is BIG enough for them. Waste of my time I had to take time off work
