Digging up our road today having had a note last night to say they would open the road again at 4pm. I wandered down to ask at 4.10 on would they be packing up soon as I wanted to get out? I was answered with an aggressive stream of abuse and would add that I am female and age 73. I asked a simple question and was told that “ just because I lived up there “ (pointing) and also that “everyone knew what I was like” which is strange as he doesn’t know me or anyone else who lives here. As he continued shouting I politely asked what was wrong with him as I only wanted to ask if they were packing up and he just kicked off. While this was going on the other men on the job sat in their van laughing I asked for his name and he said “ you not the police I’m not giving you nothing”. I rang Roadform and a manager apologised and said they would find out who it was but sadly I have very little expectation of that happening. Disgraceful behaviour be very careful if they come to do any work near you.

I'm sick of the van drivers in the Barnstaple area speeding down the roads dangerously. When someone is pulling out of a very difficult blind bend into the main road, do not fly down the road beeping the horn at me, then continue to beep the horn all the way down the following road at me. SLOW DOWN! In addition, do not drive through bus-only routes, as you do daily in the Sticklepath area. You people are the face of your company, & should behave professionally! As workers in the road business, you, more than most people, need to understand road manners, & refrain from being rude to the public.
