I came across S W Brook after seeing them complete multiple jobs within our road.

After requesting lots of quotes from various contractors, we felt Steve just understood us and the finish we were looking for, very realistic... and quoted very competitively.

We purchased a bungalow (pictured) in 2020, always with the idea of renovating. Covid came and prices rocketed, with some contractors tripling the initial quote we had. What I loved about S W Brook was the transparency from the get go. We LOVED the team working on our house, the nicest and most hard working talented builders I have ever come across.

The specific team we had on the ground worked 6 days a week, arrived half an hour early (7.30am!) and stayed until 4pm every day. It can be quite invasive having strangers in your home everyday for a long period of time but they were so trustworthy and genuinely lovely people that I actually did not want them to leave!

The quality of the work is undeniably flawless. The work was completed quicker than we had originally scheduled and the budget was accurate.

Steve, Sam, Luke & George - thank you for everything! If you are reading this debating using S W Brook, you absolutely will not regret it. Best decision we have made in a very long time.

Top marks for SW Brook for extending, remodelling and renovating our home to such a high standard. Steve’s expertise, commitment and reliability has been indispensable in achieving exactly what we wanted. We also highly value Steve’s insight and suggestions which resulted in a far better and more practical home for us to enjoy living in. This was a major project in which a large part of the house was demolished before building back up and extending. ‘The guys’ turned up every day early without fail, worked hard and long hours and left the property clean and tidy, were respectful and polite. Even our neighbours have commented what lovely builders they are. I can honestly say I would not have been able to make it through this big project if it wasn’t for Steve, who goes above & beyond,, and his brilliant ‘boys’.
A special mention for Andy and Jim who were with us every day throughout the project and put up with our ‘special requests’ on top of their daily work. Nothing was ever a problem, always happy to help. Thank you for all your hard work.

The team are very reliable, considerate and polite. I get the impression that Steve chooses who works for him very carefully.
From the initial consultation, Steve is easy to get on with and works hard to understand your requirements. He works within your budget to produce the best possible outcome. However, he is also practical and manages expectations so you know what you are getting without any ‘surprises’ along the way.

Steve is very particular about the quality of finish and pays personal attention if there are any issues (not that we had many).

For small, large or really large projects, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend SW Brook.

S W Brook (Steve Brook) have just completed a renovation for me. The job they undertook was not an easy one, two large side extension and the removal of all interior walls, a complete "rejig". On top of that they have had to work round the fact we live on a steep hill and that the original building was in an extremely poor state before they began. They have they done an amazing job, I am very pleased with the quality of work. Steve Brook checked in with us weekly to update us on next steps, talk to our main builder (another Steve) and discuss what we needed when. The guys all turn up when they are expected, they are polite, trustworthy and have been respectful. I have left them in my house happily whilst I have had to work. They clean up before they leave, take boots of to go into rooms they are not working in and always ask if I am happy before they leave. My actual builder Steve was brilliant, what he doesn't know isn't worth knowing, and my goodness he is a grafter. He made suggestions as he went along, flagged things he thought I may at a later stage wish I had done and I have been left with the property i dreamed off. Thank you all I am very glad I used you.
