Don't touch this company would be our advice!
My mum had her kitchen and a few other jobs done by this company about 18 months ago which totalled a fair few grands worth of work.
However she recently noticed a problem with the worktop that had been fitted as its was starting to move and water was leaking through to the lower cabinets. When my mum raised this with James he was insistent that it was due to user error and cleaning issues.... I might add he never at any point offered to come and look at the issue. My mum wasn't happy with this response so decided to get an independent report infact she got 2 independent professionals to come and look at her worktop, one was Howden's (who supplied the cabinets and worktop) the other was a professional carpenter. Both reports stated that the worktop had not been fitted correctly originally as non of the fixings that had been supplied by Howden's for the worktop had been used, in fact nothing had been used to fix the worktop in place which was why it was moving and water was getting in as it was just balanced on top. Therefore from these 2 reports it was clear that shoddy workmanship was responsible for the issue with the worktop nothing todo with miss use.
We approached James with both of these reports but he insisted that he wasn't responsible and wouldn't becoming to put the matter right even when Howden's had offered to provide all the relevant fixings again for him to do so, instead he just dismissed my mum.
My mum in the end has had to pay someone else to fix the issue to stop any further damage occurring we did send the invoice to James in the hope he would do the honorable thing and reimburse my mum what she had paid out as he didn't want to do it himself but we got a firm no to this request.
I would therefore warn anyone thinking about using this company for any work to think twice about doing so as they are happy to take your money at the time but if you discover an issue they are not going to help or even think about putting the matter right even if it's blatantly due to there own shoddy workmanship. Even the snagging list when the work had been finished originally was like getting blood out of a stone.

I have used James and his team on numerous of occasions. Just had all of my upstairs floors laminated and fully decorated. Team arrived on time each day, were always polite and made sure they tidied up before leaving. Very satisfied and will definitely be using again.

I recently had painting work done by Safe & Healthy Homes, and while the quality of the work appears to be of a good standard, my experience with their billing process was disappointing.
Safe & Healthy Homes provided an estimate detailing 10 man-days of work plus materials. This seemed reasonable for the scope of the project. However, the work was completed in just 6 man-days, yet I was billed for the full amount.
It's important to understand that in business terminology, an estimate is a rough calculation of potential costs and is non-binding. This means that actual costs can vary once the work begins. In this case, the contractor avoided any risk associated with time and material variance but didn't pass on any savings to the customer when the work was finished more quickly than estimated.
Had the contractor provided a “quotation” instead of an estimate, it would have been a binding contract. Under such an agreement, the contractor would be entitled to the full amount regardless of whether the work took 5 days or 15 days. They have chosen not recognised this difference.
In summary, while the painting itself was satisfactory, I am unhappy with being charged for more days than were actually worked. I would advise future customers to be clear about the difference between an estimate and a quotation to avoid similar issues.

Had our garden fence done and done water butts installed. A very professional company to deal with at competitive prices. They are returning to do some plumbing and refurbish a garden gate. Would not hesitate to recommend them .

We used Safe and Healthy Homes on two occasions to install TV wall brackets and to install laminate flooring in our living room. The service is highly professional from the start. As soon as I sent an email requesting a quote I got a call back. Throughout the whole process they communicated promptly and offered sound advice. The workmanship was exceptional we are very happy with the outcome. We would recommend to anyone and would use them again.

We've used Safe & Healthy Homes on a number of occasions for a variety of jobs. We have always found them to be very professional and have been really pleased with the work that they have carried out. They turn up when they promise to, if due to unforeseen circumstances {Covid infection}, we have been called, situation explained and rebooked, [this has happened once out of five jobs]. They are extremely trustworthy, no hesitation in recommending them. They've done the following work, replaced two fences, laid a composite patio [really good], fitted an outside tap , replaced taps, redid my mothers bathroom.

Ive had safe and healthy homes several times now to do jobs from small to extensive home refurbishment work from putting up pictures to putting in new windows from knocking down walls and making new walls elsewhere in the building. I wouldnt go anywhere else to have the work done. The guys all do a fabulous job and im always left thrilled with the work theyve done! I would highly recommend them and i know youll be left totally happy with the results!

Thankyou Kenny and the team. All worked together to solve the problem and as per usual they sorted the job. Installing our air conditioning vent. Nothing is too much trouble. Job completed with the usual politeness and efficiency, spot on.
