Firstly I have to single out the site manager Ian who was and is a fantastic site manager and who tries to do right thing always.
6 months in.
Floors in bathroom and utility slope so bad a spirit level Max's out!
Settlement cracks appeared.
Back lawn so waterlogged the new lawn has now rotted ( reported in the summer but told had to give it two years!)
Oven so cheap and poor quality it has broken down three times and now has damaged kitchen unit it sits in.
Bathroom floor has dropped so much a spirit level can't keep up!
Bottom boards of utility cupboard falls off constantly.
Utility room floor so uneven the door has had to be cut over 1.5inch short to allow to open!
Once you place your bins inside gate no room for any adult to walk past.
Scratches on windows you simply won't see on inspection if sunny and made to stand the 2 metre distance away!
Front lawn destroyed by landscaping company when tree planted.
Windows allow drafts and noise through dispite double glazed, window company went bust so locks and handles are not those meant for the windows as keys for the original locks couldn't be sourced.
Back garden fence has gone green and rotting due to water log and not draining if as told there is a drain below.
Garage door hung so not square and several inch gap at base so cold and wet ingress.
Paint on walls and ceiling has been put straight on plaster with no undercoat or base treatment so simply peeling off like a sunburned brit abroad!
The answer to every builders worries filler used to the max in areas at base of door frames.
Chipped doors simply painted still showing bit chip marks just nice and white.
Door handles all sag.
Windows don't close tight.

And customer service will ignore emails and only answer if and when suits them leaving you in limbo or faced to simply accept poor resolution.

Firstly I have to say I write this review reluctantly having given Anwyl multiple opportunities to put right the issues in our home.

This has without doubt been the single most frustrating thing I have ever done in my life. From start to finish (bar a couple of exceptions - Imogen and Mike) the apathy that runs through this company genuinely has to be seen to be believed.

Within a week of moving in at the end of July our snag list had passed 100. We lost confidence to the point that we paid to have the property professionally "snagged" and ended up with a mind boggling 295 snags. In the 3 months since the minimal progress that has been made has all been on the back of me pressing and chasing - if I hadn't I doubt anything would have happened.

These aren't cheap houses (although they are cheaply built) but the general standard of fit and finish is honestly laughable. If you want to spend the next year of your life tearing your hair out then buy a house at Stonebridge Fold - If not look elsewhere!

I'm amazed there aren't other poor reviews - We know 3 other couples living on this site and their experiences very much mirror ours and to be fair are probably worse.

Poor reviews inevitably get the "we are sorry to hear about your experience - please contact customer care" response... Anwyl please don't bother. I do reserve the right to redact/remove these comments should you ever get round to fixing our house but as it stands this represents my current opinion.

If this doesn't put you off and you want to see examples of what Anwyl consider acceptable feel free to knock on our door. Its number 121 directly opposite the showhomes!

A decent enough housing builder. Some decent properties available to suit most budgets for a new build.

The property had hundreds of snags, many of which still haven't been fixed years later. We've also had poor customer service from all levels of the company.
