Avoid like the plague!
When we agreed to the purchase of our "dream" home and paid the reservation fee, the house wasn't built yet and we were advised that the completion window would be some time between end of March and end of May 2021. In mid April, less than half way through this window, Story sales team unscrupulously sold our house to someone else because the purchasers of our house were slightly delayed in recieving their mortgage offer. At such a late stage in the conveyancing process, we were at maximum exposure and lost thousands of pounds in conveyancing fees and my family were left with no home. We begged them not to sell our home to another buyer, but with bonuses and targets to reach, they just did not care. Whatsmore, after cancelling our purchase, they get to keep our reservation fee. If this is the treatment by the sales team, I wonder what the after sales care team are like once you've bought the property?
