This is the second time that Izzy and the team at Swain Architecture have helped us remodel an old property and make it suitable for modern living. Our current home, a 200 year old farmhouse, had been chopped, changed and extended multiple times over the course of the last 40 years. It had lost all sense of flow and lacked light and large, usable spaces. Izzy was able to see past all of the obstacles and re-imagine the property in a way that retained the character and charm of the original farmhouse but also gave us the spacious, social areas that we craved. We love our refurbished home and feel that the team at Swain Architecture have given it a new lease of life.

Me and my partner bought a period home in a Nottingham Conservation area so we knew we’d be limited with what we could do with our property. Having known Izzy for a few years and seen how enthusiastic she is about architecture we were really keen to see what she could do for us, we weren’t disappointed. We’ve worked with Izzy and the team for many years on a number of projects. They have helped us to gain planning in areas where this may have otherwise been tricky, but they’re particularly good at understanding planning restrictions and designing accordingly.
We have had some really stunning projects design by Swain Architecture which have been very contemporary yet sympathetic to their rural surroundings, we wouldn’t consider a project without their services now.
