I rented a bungalow off t clarke and Son from 1985 until 1995 I was always happy and settled there. They do expect you to maintain the property as your own, the properties all have different landlords from the clarke family. To this day my daughter and Son still have good happy memories that they mention. I rate them 11 out of 10.

I was with Clarks and Son for just over a year, from 2019 to 2020. I had a beautiful 1 bed flat in Midanbury. Not for once I have ever had a problem either with the property nor with the management. There was only one big stain on the top of the ceiling, which I reported and someone came in and tried to fix and asked me to paint it myself. Can't remember whether I offered painting it. Apart from that nothing else. I locked myself out of the house at least three times and every time the management helped me.

I had great communication with the two ladies in the office who were always welcoming and smiling every time I visited or called them.

When I left the flat I filled in all the paperwork and left the flat to the best of my abilities cleared. I got my full deposit back.

I am thankful and have only good memories of them. I can honestly say that I miss my flat and life there.

Seems to be a running theme here I agree with the last two reviewers we pay a maintenance fee for upkeep of the bushes around our property. I have been waiting for 8 months for the entrance to my property to be cut back. I'm at a stage where I'm going to need a machete to get to my front door. Clark's have been contacted numerous times to discuss this. The receptionist is rude and obviously totally incompetent at her job with zero idea on how to prioritize a workload. If I could give them zero stars I would. They are an absolute joke - if you want to live in Midanbury try and find one of the few places they have nothing to do with. I have contacted the ombudsman so they will be receiving a letter shortly.

This company has an obligation to keep bushes and trees next to the properties cut back all year round and as tenants we are expected to pay for this service. We have now been waiting for over 7 months! When you phone to enquire about when this work will be completed you are told that they have given up and they are using their plumber to carry out this work, but still no sign of him! My elderly, vulnerable neighbour had the phone slammed down on her when she phoned for an update. Absolutely disgusting behaviour! Shame on you Clarks and Sons.

I rented a property from these people for over 3 years & always paid my rent..
I phoned them on the 7th of August this year to give them my 1 months notice. ( they even acknowledge the call ).
They said in the call that they will post me some paperwork,
To this day the paper work never arrived.
I popped into the property the other day & there was a notice of abandonment stuck to the outside of the door.
I phoned to see what they was on about & even after acknowledging my 1 months notice over the phone, they say nothings been signed & I must pay up until this day..!
Even though they have not sent not one letter from the 7th of August through to this day asking me why I have not paid my rent..
But when they put the rent up last year they sent me numerous letters asking for me to change my direct debit to meet the rent requirements, which was no where near the amount of 1 months rent let alone nearly 3 months..
Make of this what you will...!
