Mark and the team at Tangent Space were brilliant throughout our project. They listened attentively to our hopes and ideas, designed a stunning space and supported us by overseeing the project throughout, including overcoming some unexpected hurdles. I commissioned Tangent Space to design a home for me based on a couple of ideas that I threw at them, primarily stating oak frame and double garage and a sort of sketch of what I envisaged.

Mark Wakelin of Tangent Space came back to me with some very original and creative ideas which we talked over and eventually, I am now living in a much envied home which is timeless in style yet incorporates all the modern concepts of a highly environmentally friendly home.

They took me through the pitfalls of planning, building regulations, VAT reclaims and Local Authority trip wires and I came out the other end SANE! No small result and is a tribute to their technical knowledge and expertise. Mark was often to be seen onsite with the contractors and even picking up a shovel when needed.

This is truly a home that I value and it wouldn't be here without the Tangent team. I am so glad that I utilised their services. If I were to try another project, its Tangent for me!.

With Energy prices on the rise and the climate crisis, the need to reduce our usage in our home and office is more important than ever. However as I teenager I had lived in a house that was so cold it had ice on the inside of the windows and didn’t want to go back to that.

So in December I had a lovely Tangent Space team visit for an energy audit. It was a great time to do it as we of course use most of our energy in the winter.

Mark and Oscar came equipped to precisely measure temperature and moisture levels, plus a thermal imaging camera. They careful went round taking readings and asking questions about the house and office. It took just under 2 hours and we had a good chat at the end of changes that immediately sprung to mind.

A week later I received the full energy audit. It was meticulous and when it came to the suggestions useful links had been included to make my life so much easier when it comes to putting these into action.

The options are shown as low, mid and high cost making it easier for me to plan what to start with first. I’m so pleased we have a plan together for future proofing our home.

I desperatly needed some help with a planning applciaiton and full disclosure this was probably one of those jobs that every professional dreads as it was a tiny job but was probably a bit fiddly to do. Mark and his team at Tangent Space could not have been more helpful and did everything that was needed to keep the planners happy. When they asked for more Mark sorted this out in record time. If you want to work with a professional, talented and effecient archetect then Mark is your man.
