We had previously engaged Thatcher Builders for extensive renovation work and the installation of a new kitchen in our Victorian home. Delighted with the quality of Ray and his team's work, we opted to have them convert our loft as well. This turned out to be a fantastic decision, as we are thoroughly pleased with the transformation it has brought to our home's usability and atmosphere. The project remained within budget, with any additional costs for extra requests being communicated upfront and kept reasonable. It's also worth noting Ray's calm and effective approach to problem-solving, which proved invaluable throughout the larger construction project.

I contacted Ray Thatcher who came out to my property to discuss my rear kitchen extension project in Bromley. From the beginning he was helpful, informative and very patient. The project started and from the beginning to the end (September 2022) I was given daily updates and the team arrived promptly every day. I had some issues with the water pipes in the garden, but Ray gave expert advice and helped resolve the problem. Ray is reliable, friendly and extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the building trade, at times it was challenging but Ray helped smooth out the whole process. He has the forward vision, based on years of experience to know how the project will develop and turn out. In addition Ray has a great team who work alongside him. Jamie is great at laying floor tiles, he also build a larder for me in my kitchen and fitted the kitchen cabinets, Billie painted the kitchen throughout, very tidy and precise, he also tiled my toilet under the stairs and helped with the kitchen cabinets. John plastered internally, very tidy and neat work, George the bricklayer finished the outside and also laid the patio outside and made it look better than before. Darren and Scott were here throughout the project and helped finish off at the end. They all played their part in completing my extension, which has totally transformed my home. I now have an amazing space which I can totally relax in with friends and family. Ray is a man of his word and throughout my project he kept his promise to deliver a kitchen extension which I would be happy with. The whole team did a fantastic job and I am more than happy with the results, I would totally recommend Ray and his team, they are hardworking, reliable and do a great job from the start to the finish.

Ray and his team did an amazing job, not only was their work second to none, but they helped us out of a very tight spot when a previous builder had left us with substandard work while we were expecting a new child. Ray’s team fixed all the issues, managed the process passing building control and went above and beyond in the quality of their work. The professionalism of the team was very high, with Ray managing and communicating with us on a daily basis so we could review progress and provide feedback as we went along. As well as completing all the structural items, the attention to detail on the plastering, flooring, tiling, fixtures, and painting was superb. As tight as the timing was, Ray and the team ensured we had somewhere to celebrate Christmas with the new addition to the family, which meant the world to us after journey we’ve had.
