The company responded and came out the very next day despite the time of year. They were methodical and thorough. The problem was sorted and we were kept informed throughout. An underfloor pipe leak had stopped our boiler - We were impressed by the tidiness and speed of the work, and as we said - the excellent communication. We were pleased also by the plumbers telling us that they had replaced two pipes out of three because two showed damage - (this was shown to us) and that they would only replace a third pipe if necessary. I liked the 'If it's not broke don't fix it.' attitude! If we have need of a plumber in future Thomas S Buchan gets our business.

One of Buchans Plumbers hit my car today, ripped off wing mirror , scraped and dented door/wing. The response? Drive away and pretend it didn’t happen. It’s all on video, with 4 witnesses, company claimed plumber didn’t notice- the car that had to move for him beeped quite loudly.

That’s the kind of response you can expect if something goes wrong. Do yourself a favour and use another company. Hundreds of £££ of damage .

I called them out to look at a boiler that wasn’t working. The “Plumber” went about replacing every part to try and get it working. He didn’t recognise the whole boiler needed replaced. All in all, we paid for £400 plus of unecessary parts and at the end, eehad to pay someone who actually knew what they were doing to fully replace the boiler. Absolutely shocking service.

Communication was very poor whenever I phoned to chase them up. we were left for a week without heat or hot water in a house with small children. They couldnt have cared less. It seems to be a family business so, when you speak to the ladies in the office they struggle to be objective.

Only 1 star as can't give zero. Shambles of a company. So hired them to do plumbing work for our house and they guys they got into do the work was so slow that the other contractors that was working with them constantly complained about how slow they was and how they couldn't complete their work due to them. Went to complain several times as was holding up other work being done to the house and got told they spoke to him etc but nothing changed then they replaced him with another one that hasn't been once in weeks. Had to eventually go in to talk to them about when they was coming and told they will get back to us and still nothing most likely cause we complained several times about the previous one. Would advice not complaining anyway especially not to the reception as both the woman that was on and the other woman (her partner owns the company) are rude and do not respond well to be told that her company staff are not doing a good job. My advice go elsewhere get actual professionals with better attitudes 👍

I had an emergency leak. I has water dripping from the attic. Called TS Buchan at 1640hrs. They arrived within 15 mins. They had a look and solved the leak within minutes. Great service and value. Thanks guys. Saved me a lot if money on redecoration. 1st Class Service. Will defo recommend and use again.

DO NOT USE THEM. They refused to return to site after misdiagnosing the problem. Opened up walls to replace pipework and did not return to anywhere near previous condition. Once complete they then managed to flood the mascerator again and cause further water damage. Waiting on a call back to discuss further. Extremely disappointed with a very frustrated wife and 10 week old baby at home.

Did a great job sorting my system.

Fixed the broken zone valve. Took the whole day due to years of sludge built up in the system.

Turned out zone valve was so filled with sludge that it was jammed in place.

Phoned in October to get a quote, by March no one had got back to us. Have had to phone multiple times but to no avail. Just been told today that we had cancelled when nothing of the sort had happened. Oh dear!
