It’s unusual to find a church with open doors to visit at your leisure, a bonus that this one contains such beauty, and carrying the history that it does. Very peaceful and calming, you can even make yourself a hot drink whilst you sit quietly in thought.

On entry there is a small table with some church paper where you can write a note or a prayer for a departed loved one or friend. My wife visited the following day and bumped into the female vicar, my wife said she was a lovely lady sharing her knowledge of the area.

Church which is all that remains of Thorney Abbey in the village of the same name. The village itself dates from the 600s and is one of the oldest. There is a museum in the village as well.
