He turned up as promised, which is always a good start, staying for a good block of time going through the issues and the various ways condensation can manifest, and offering suitable advice. There was no charge for the visit, a rare occurrence these days, and it was left that I was able to re-contact him/Trace Remedial if there was no improvement after following the recommendations, another plus point - would definitely recommend ✨

We've just finished working on the roof at the Bowling Green in Lichfield...

Trace were site supervisors doing an external refurb of the whole building, great team of blokes.... Arter was foreman and in charge of managing the sub contractors aswell as the Trace team.

We were there for 2 weeks (due to rain) and worked closely with the team from Trace... From one team of tradesmen to another we found them very professional and highly skilled... Very impressive workmanship.

We Would gladly work in partnership with them again.

Paid £300 for a call out to quote for potential work and it's nearly a month and no quote. My partner called today and it is obvious that the person forgotten us. He promised us 3 weeks. Although he was polite when he come to our house, we felt like we were the little people and our job was last on the pile. We wanted the work doing asap but I feel a bit robbed to be honest. Little bit disappointed as the reviews were good for this company, that's why we paid for him to come.

The whole team at Trace were brilliant. Fantastic and clear communication at the start and so professional and helpful on site. My team of Electricians said they'd never worked with such an excellent team of craftspeople. They even delayed some of their plastering while the sparks rewired another bit of the house. Can't recommend highly enough.

We came to the bowling green for a meal earlier… Trace are here on site refurbishing the outside of the building..

It’s looking really nice and we were asking questions about the work to the people working and they were all very polite and happy to indulge our curiosity…

The refurbishment is very much underway but they are keeping disruption to a minimum and all the work areas are kept behind barriers away from the public.

This looks like a very professional company and not at all messy…

I can’t wait to see the finished building… I’m sure it’s going to look beautiful again.

Trace was employed, to assess the extent of damp problems on a house we were considering purchasing. A competitor was also employed for comparison and to give confidence. Both were given identical written briefs, and both had been recommended to us.

The house comprised an old farmhouse enveloped by a contemporary build and was therefore structurally, and from a damp proofing perspective, complex.

Trace excelled in the professionalism of the approach, level of detail that they went into and the quality of their report. They also correctly identified multiple issues that their competitor failed to recognise (despite the competitor being more expensive).

Rory, who undertook the survey and James, company Director and second-generation family owner of the business, spent additional time discussing their report and findings with us, helping us to fully understand, in a balanced manner, the extent of the issues, the limitations of their investigation (it was not intrusive), the potential future risks, and the range of likely costs of rectification.

Trace was professional and charming to deal with. They exceeded expectations and left their competitor standing in terms of quality and capability.
