Vintage Realty - ATTN: Archer Frierson - This property is an eyesore to our community. It is not being monitored or maintained, therefore it may never sell to a viable owner. Please address this problem as soon as possible because it negatively impacts our property value and community.

Vintage Realty is a classic example of a company that puts profits over people. Main Street Apartments in Lafayette (both condos and rental units) is part of Vintage Realty’s portfolio. The elevator in one of the buildings has been broken for a month. Laura Brabham, regional property manager, has shown a complete disregard for tenants and property owners. She refused to respond to messages until I copied Vintage executives into the emails. My 83-year-old neighbor has barely been able to leave his apartment for the past month because he is unable to climb up and down the stairs. I spoke with a 79-year-old neighbor today who told me she struggles to get up and down them as well. But Laura and her Vintage team have made it clear they do not care and merely blame the elevator company. They could answer messages, offer rent concessions, check on residents, do something to show a little human decency. But they’d rather be silent and ignore tenant and homeowner concerns as they sit in the comforts of their office building. EDITED TO ADD: I called the number left in the owner’s response to talk “offline” as suggested. No one returned my call. I also tried Laura again (you know, that very dedicated and caring employee the owner described in their response.) She also didn’t return my call. Apparently the owner’s response was nothing more than empty words (not that I’m surprised. It’s in line with my experience with Vintage thus far.)

Vintage Realty Company is the current owners of "The Standard Downtown Lofts" in Shreveport, LA. When they took over, everything stayed rather consistent except for them cancelling the valet trash service that was initially offered. However, I am posting this review so that I can follow up on a tenant safety concern I have brought to their attention multiple times now. I will adjust my review based on how Vintage Realty Company chooses to remedy the tenant safety concern. So far, they have ignored my requests to have them look into this. Not a good look for a company that manages some of the priciest apartments in town.

So far it’s my 3rd year having business with them and I’m good with their policy. I will stay with them until I will sell my property for good reason. I really appreciate their management on my property. I surely recommend them to anybody.
