Westbuild Piling installed foundations for a single story extension at our home in Northumberland over a three day period in August 2024 which we thought nothing short of miraculous, since it covers a reasonable sized area, requiring 11 piles to 5.5 metres. The team leader Tony and his team of two worked solidly, keeping us informed throughout and overcoming a couple of small difficulties along the way without fuss. Really calm, friendly lads; a real pleasure to have working at our home. Price wise - very competitive - I’d estimate about £6K less than their nearest rival. I have 43 years experience in construction in a commercial capacity. The last piling order that I placed was valued at £2.4 million for work to approximately 400 new homes. The work that Westbuild Piling conducted was much smaller in value and to a property that was occupied. The company delivered on all the fundamentals. Their quotation was easy to understand and competitive. Their commercial lead visited the property ahead of the production team and I found him to be extremely helpful and amenable. The production team worked extremely hard, in difficult wet conditions. They were very polite and helpful and also respected the surrounding neighbours. They were a credit to themselves and to Westbuild. They delivered the works timely and left the area clean and tidy. The company’s final account was in line with their quotation with no surprises. I would like to say thank you to Mark, Tony, Josh, and Marvin. There were two other gentlemen who came on Wednesday to help move and place just over 14te’s of concrete all by wheelbarrow. Huge apologies I cannot recall their names, but that doesn’t detract from their hard work. Speaking from my experience within the construction industry I’d have no hesitation in recommending this business to anyone considering piling works.

Really impressed with Westbuild. Mark came to our site and explained what would be needed for our extension. The quote was clear and well structured so we knew exactly what we were paying and when. During the job itself we were kept up to date by Tony and the lads on site how everything was going and given a courtesy knock when they were leaving. Really nice bunch and would recommend to anyone. They left our site tidy and were respectful of our home and the area around it.

We contacted Mark at Westbuild Piling a couple of weeks ago regarding a foundation that needed piling. Within a few days we had a design and a quote back to me and we duly instructed him to carry out the work.
His men arrived on site 7.30 Monday morning and all work was completed by the end of the following day.

Westbuild Piling carried out the work as scheduled and quoted for which has enabled our work to resume on site without delay.

Very poor service and misleading! Delayed our work by 3 months as kept saying the person dealing with your case is on holiday! The Agreement was to pay half the deposit before work is carried out and the remainder once work is completed!! Literally days before starting the work they had the cheek to ask us to pay full amount upfront before even starting the work! We said no!! Thank god we didn't pay the deposit otherwise we wouldn't of got that back either!! They took our drawings and we never got those back!!!! Definitely do not recommend!
