Willmott Dixon used us to get a free quote to negotiate with their existing supplier when they had no intention of using us. We are a smaller company and wasted a significant amount of time on this, only to be told that we did nothing wrong but they had decided to use their existing supplier, even though I know we were still cheaper and have a track record of successful delivery. This was after being ghosted and chasing for around 6 weeks to even find out we didn't get the work!
Smaller companies would be best avoiding tendering for Willmott Dixon; their surveyors are more interested in large companies who can take them to football and rugby than getting the best pricing and performance onsite.
